Beauty Hot Chocolate Brownie Recipe
What You Need
- 4 tbsp butter (melted)
- 150g coconut sugar (or any other sugar)
- 100g plain flour
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 200ml hot milk (I used almond milk)
- 25g Myvitamins Beauty Hot Chocolate
- 20g Myvitamins Organic Cacao Powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- Flax egg (1 tbsp flaxseed with 3 tbsp water)
- 30g dark chocolate chips
- Marshmallows (about a handful)
Method
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F/ 180 degrees C.
- Double line a square baking tray with parchment paper.
- Prepare flax egg by mixing flaxseed and warm water in a small bowl. Keep it aside for 5 minutes and it will turn into a gooey gel.
- In one bowl, sift in the flour and baking powder.
- In another bowl, sift in the cocoa powder and add the sugar. Pour in very hot milk and add the melted butter. Stir the cocoa sugar mixture until the liquid is incorporated and sugar is almost melted. Add the flax gel and vanilla essence to the cocoa mixture and mix.
- Now add the dry ingredients to cocoa mixture and stir until everything is mixed well and lump free. Be careful not to overmix.
- Scoop the batter into the lined pan and spread it with a spatula. Add the marshmallows onto the top for decoration.
- Bake in the oven on the middle shelf for 25-30 minutes.
- Remove the brownies from the oven and set aside at least 2 hours before cutting.
