Boost your skincare routine this Pancake Day with this delicious breakfast recipe. These chocolate collagen pancakes use our bestselling Collagen Pancake Mix - a low sugar, high protein powder that contains 20g of hydrolysed collagen per serving.
Collagen is a structural protein which is found naturally in our skin, joints and muscles. This essential nutrient plays an important role in several bodily functions, including skin elasticity, cartilage development and hair growth. Our collagen levels decline as we age, but supplements can help.
Chocolate Collagen Pancakes Recipe
What You Need
- 2 large scoops of Myvitamins Collagen Pancake Mix (Unflavoured)
- 1 level tsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp Myvitamins Organic Cacao Powder
- 100ml almond milk
- Toppings of your choice
Method
- Combine all of the dry ingredients together and mix well. The cacao powder gives these pancakes their rich, chocolate flavour.
- Gradually add the milk until it forms a thick batter. You can add more milk if you prefer a thinner, lighter pancake.
- Add oil the pan and let it heat up, and then spoon in the pancake mix. Fry until golden brown.
- Stack your pancakes and add as many toppings as you like. We love sliced banana, chocolate sauce and chopped walnuts for extra crunch.
